Why did Crooks give into Lennie asking to sit in his room?

In part 4, we see that Lennie begins to start becoming friends with Crooks, but the way that he introduces himself to him is sort of absurd. He tries to be friendly at first, but is still rejected by him. Once crooks talks to him about things that have been bugging him all the time, he ends up giving into the big harmless man we call Lennie. He walked into his room and "Crooks scowled, but Lennie's disarming smile defeated him. 'Come on in and set a while'" (69). Lennie's smile could be something that Crooks gives into, even though he is letting him into the only place that Crooks is not called names or is made fun of for his skin color on the ranch. This showing how easily he can be talked to, told things because he doesn't know what it is, and how easily people see him as such a child. In conclusion, Lennie is a very chaste person, from his irresistibly welcoming face to his ability to listen, he makes even the toughest of people be friendly towards him.
