Why does George want Lennie away from Curley's wife?
One reason that George wants Lennie away from Curley's wife is because "I seen 'em poison before, but I never seen no piece of jail bait worse than her. You leave her be" (32). George says this because he knows that she is trouble and will get Lennie into trouble whether that be going to jail. I think that George is right in saying that because she has just married Curley and is already wanting to look at other people. She seems like she is going to be trouble later on in the story. Also, she has turned Curley into a different man. She is a bad influence on Lennie and George doesn't want Lennie to get into any more trouble.
